Phyllis achieved her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2010 and Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology in 2008 from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Phyllis was raised in Canada on Vancouver Island and developed a passion for exercise and the study of human movement.
She grew up very active and began figure skating at the age of five. She skated competitively for over ten years and developed a love for coaching which led her to spend several years teaching children and adults to skate. Her passion for science, in particular human anatomy and biomechanics sparked her interest in exercise physiology, training, injuries, rehabilitation and physical therapy. Phyllis loves taking the time to educate her patients and enjoys helping them learn about and understand their injury to prevent it from re-occurring.
Phyllis moved to Washington in 2013 and loves the active lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and labradoodle, Rusty. She likes to travel, ski, hike and walk the many beautiful trails. When she is not out being active she loves to watch and cheer on her favorite teams the Seattle Seahawks, Vancouver Canucks and Team Canada Hockey!
