As COVID 19 has swept the globe it has dramatically changed how we care for our patients. We are working to balance the need for safety and also trying to remain operational to serve the needs of our community. With many outpatient hospital PT services being suspended and some outpatient clinics closing, we want you to know we are still here to serve. We are also implementing a telehealth option for those unable or unwilling to see us in person, or should we be compelled to close our facilities. In addition, we have an expansive library of home exercises including on youtube.com, so our patients have guidance while doing their exercises at home.
The safety of our patients and staff remains our utmost priority. We have been closely monitoring the situation on a daily basis and have been strictly complying with the cleaning, monitoring for illness, and implementing social distancing guidelines set out by the CDC and local governments. The Office of Homeland Security put out a memorandum of essential infrastructure workers on March 20th, and included physical therapists.
We are open for anyone who still needs care, because at times not getting needed care may be worse than seeking care.
Your ailments and injuries that impacted you 2 weeks ago will not likely go away on their own. We do not want you to regress, nor to seek pain relief from our overwhelmed emergency departments and primary care offices.
We are taking every necessary precaution:
- Limiting space and interaction between patients
-Limiting the number of patients in the clinics at a given time
-Asking family members to drop off or wait in the car
-Diligently cleaning and sanitizing all equipment after every use
We encourage everyone to use safe practices. Wash your hands before and after treatment. Cough/sneeze into a one time use tissue, or your elbow. Please do not come in if you are sick.
