Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy

All of our physical therapists have extensive graduate and post-graduate training in a variety of treatment approaches in order to best meet your physical needs, as no two injuries are identical every patient will be treated individually. Your treatment will begin by your physical therapist taking a thorough history from you, during which time they will ask about any trauma or overuse activities that may have contributed to your injury. They will also ask about any activities or postures that aggravate or relieve your symptoms. After taking a history they will perform a comprehensive physical evaluation assessing your posture, range of motion, strength and a variety of other tests to assist in making a diagnosis. After the evaluation your physical therapist will discuss the findings with you and will establish a treatment program that may include any of the following: therapeutic exercises to do in the clinic as well as at home for stretching and strengthening muscles, manual therapy, gait training, posture and body mechanics education and modalities including ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
