Clinic Director: Karla Cararas, MS, PT, ATC
Sports have been a part of Karla’s life for years—first as a basketball player for Texas Women’s University, and now as physical therapist to local athletes. Karla graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, then headed out west to Seattle.
Karla is a shoulder specialist, and her talents aren’t limited there! She also enjoys treating general orthopedics and has extensive experience in Sports Medicine and post-operative rehabilitation. Karla served as the team physical therapist and head Athletic Trainer for the pro women’s soccer team, the Seattle Sounders, in 2007 and 2008. Her expertise sees no age, and for her entire career Karla has utilized her passion for sports medicine by working with local High School athletes.
Karla’s interests span the outdoors all year round. She loves anything snow-related, scuba diving, hunting, and fishing. She had a long career in competitive basketball and softball, but these days, Karla volunteers her time and know-how to coaches and players at local athletic clubs, teaching injury prevention.

Heather Easterly, DPT
While earning her doctorate degree at Eastern Washington University (2008), Heather practiced physical therapy here, there, and everywhere in between! She worked hard locally throughout Washington State, ventured north to work in Alaska, and also volunteered internationally.
While playing high school and collegiate sports, Heather gained a keen sense for how the body works, and more importantly—how it works best. Heather has an extensive background in track and field, volleyball, gymnastics, snowboarding, and rock climbing. She enjoys treating all ages with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Heather is devoted to her patients’ recovery and increased function.
When she’s not with patients, Heather finds joy in spending time with her family, exploring the great outdoors, and volunteering in the community.

Nancy Silkroski, M.A., PT
Nancy is adventurous—she even dreams of playing the rock guitar! This spirit serves you well…she does all she can to keep you as active as possible. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1978. In 1997, she received a master’s degree in integrative psychology from Antioch University Seattle where she focused her studies and research on body-mind healing. Nancy has utilized her knowledge at the Factoria Clinic since February of 2006.
With most of her experience in general orthopedic PT, Nancy particularly enjoys working with neck and back pain, headaches, and myofascial pain of all kinds. Nancy has a special affinity for soft tissue techniques including trigger point clearing, muscle energy, and myofascial release. Her particular passion is Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle touch osteopathic technique. She has successfully integrated this into her PT practice since 1994.
Nancy also implements patient education/training in postural, core, and movement concepts using creative exercise programs. She works with Morton’s foot instability issues with the use of over-the-counter insoles. Nancy believes a lasting result comes from a balance of strength, stability, and flexibility, with body awareness and positioning.
Nancy loves to travel, play and exercise with her dog Chance, and spend time with her family and friends. A trip to Italy inspired her to experiment with Italian dishes and attempt to learn the language.
